Annie & John held a beautiful barn wedding in San Margarita, CA in June 2014. This was a very special wedding for us because we got a chance to incorporate two of our favorite things; traveling and shooting on super 8 film.
We’re extremely happy with how this video turned out and the picturesque venue they chose made our job easy. They both wrote very touching vows for each other, which we showcased in their highlight video, along with all the fun their wedding party brought to the day. We hope you enjoy their fun yet emotional wedding film!Credits: Wedding Videographer: Hit Maker Films Venue: Santa Margarita Ranch Photographer: David Pascolla Event Planning & Design: CJN Events Floral Design: Flowers by Kim Makeup/Hair: Queen’s Bees Props/Furniture: Embellish Vintage Rentals
What happens when you mix real super 8mm, HD, and a couple completely in love? You get a really amazing super 8 wedding film!
I love when I get the chance to shoot on Super 8 film. When Vanessa contacted me, she already knew that she wanted to use real 8mm film for her wedding video. She contacted us after watching our last wedding we shot on 8mm and she absolutely fell in love with the vintage feel and organic textures that it offered. We were very happy to oblige.
What we loved most about shooting Vanessa and Raffy’s wedding is that you could tell they were genuinely in love and smitten with one another. I think that really comes through in the video. Even though the cameras were there, the only thing that mattered was each other, like they were in their own little world.

Shooting in Half Moon Bay can always be tricky, considering that it’s foggy there most of the year. But on the day of Julie and Allen’s wedding, the sun shined bright and there wasn’t a cloud in site. Their chosen wedding color was yellow which contrasted well with the lush green lawns of The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay. They chose to write their own heartfelt vows, which were funnily interrupted by their dog Cookie as you will see in the video. We had such a fun time shooting Julie & Allen’s wedding. They were a very fun and emotional couple to be around. We hope you enjoy their video.
